Wanted: A World Without Cancer July 25, 2026 Lake Charles

2026 Mission Moment

At the heart of the American Cancer Society Northrop Grumman SWLA Cattle Baron’s Ball is a simple but powerful truth: every dollar raised brings us closer to a world without cancer.

The Mission Moment is more than a pause in the evening, it’s a reminder of why we gather. It is a moment to honor the lives touched by cancer, to remember those we have lost, and to stand with the survivors who inspire us daily with their strength and resilience.

Cancer impacts all of us and it doesn’t discriminate. It affects our friends, our families, our colleagues, and our communities. But thanks to supporters like you, hope continues to grow. When you give during the Paddle Raise, you are funding the American Cancer Society which supports groundbreaking research, provides critical patient services like rides to treatment and lodging, offers 24/7 support through the National Cancer Information Center, and helps with advocating for lifesaving policies. Your generosity ensures that no one has to face cancer alone!

As you consider your gift, think of the mother fighting for more time with her children, the friend finding the strength to endure another round of treatment, the survivor celebrating another year of life, and the countless families who need hope.

Every paddled raised is a statement: we will not give up. Together, we are changing the future of cancer—one life, one breakthrough, one discovery, one ride, one stay, and one moment at a time.
